This is the best and most detailed critique of the "Gap Theory" dealing with major theological issues. Many people have tried to use the meanings of the words in the first two verses in Genesis to put a gap of millions of years between verse one and verse two. This view maintains that there was a previous creation that was supposedly destroyed by God, then recreated in six days. Weston Fields does a masterful job of showing that the language in Genesis does not allow for such an idea. Recommended for: High School to Adult
