What is wrong with the Green Movement?

In Genesis 1:26-28 God gives us what is called “The Creation Mandate”, also referred to as the “Cultural Mandate” or the “Dominion Mandate.” The KJV text says:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.’”

In these three verses God explains why we work, that the work mandate is to be exercised by all humankind, and that the work directive is personal. The word “rule” is the Hebrew word “radah” having the nuances of “subjugate; specifically, to (come to make to) have dominion, prevail against, reign, (bear, make to) rule, (-r, over), take.” The word “subdue” is the Hebrew word “kabash” having the nuances of “to tread down; hence, negatively, to disregard; positively, to conquer, subjugate, violate: --bring into bondage, force, keep under, subdue, bring into subjection.”

God is responsible for making all the material things in the universe. He then transferred to Man the responsibility of using them wisely; Man was to be a good steward. A good steward looks at the use of materials in circumspect, maximizing the benefits, and minimizing the waste. This process pro-duces a Christian Conservationist, a stewardship that honors God and gives Him glory through our decisions and work.

God inspects us to determine how well we have followed His instructions. This is illustrated by the parable of Jesus concerning the Master who dispensed talents and went away only to return and make each servant give an account of his stewardship. Matt. 25:14-30

Evolutionists do not believe in God nor the authority of the Bible. They have no mandate to be good stewards as they answer to no higher authority than themselves in implementing their insane agendas. Human wisdom cannot compare to God’s wisdom and therefore humans make imperfect decisions on the use of material resources. The farther away from God people are, the worse their decisions are about the use of God-given resources.

This stance leads to the promotion of wasteful activities in an attempt to achieve political control of a society. They create fake news about a problem that individuals cannot solve by themselves and then declare that only an authoritarian government can solve the problem. The society then gives up its individual responsibility, its individual stewardship, all for the supposed virtue of sacrificing its liberty and wealth.

While there are many modern examples that I could use to prove this point; for the purposes of this article, I have picked the religious cult-like fanaticism of Environmental Terrorists to the “everyone must” use all-electric vehicles. However, as a pre-cursor to the “ideal” of electric vehicles, we cannot fail once again to point out the fallacies of wind and solar as the energy producers proposed to power these vehicles.

The Green New Dealers claim that “clean” solar and wind power will replace fossil fuels and prevent what does not exist = Manmade Global Warming. The problem is that these sources of energy pol-lute far more than burning fossil fuels!

Wind and solar “industries” are responsible for a smorgasbord of highly toxic wastes. They use neodymium and dysprosium, rare earth minerals mined almost exclusively in China, which controls 95 % of the world’s supply. The processing of these metals has covered China with fields of toxic waste and giant toxic lakes. Retired windmill blades are clogging landfills because they cannot be recycled. Solar panels are a veritable toxic cocktail of gallium arsenic, tellurium, silver, crystalline silicon, lead, cadmium, and heavy earth materials. The energy cost to deal with recycling these problem mate-rials is far more than the energy generated by them.

Dust and other sky-darkening air pollutants slash solar energy production by 17% to 25%. These findings were published in Environmental Science & Technology Letters, from data collected across India, China, and the Arabian Peninsula. Haze can block sunlight from reaching solar collectors.

The High Cost of Fueling the All-EV World

Land has value, especially farmland. Currently we are removing farmland from the production of food and converting it to the production of low-grade fuel, solar and wind energy. In order to hit the Environmental Terrorist’s goal of “zero” carbon levels for EVs and industries by 2050, it will require a land area equal to five South Dakotas. That means that the “Tree Huggers” are calling for the full-scale industrialization of America’s forest lands. This is another example of their double mindedness.

Another example: a nuclear power plant requires about 640 acres of land to generate the equivalent energy of solar and winds farms covering hundreds of thousands of acres. Just to generate the power to light up Manhattan, NY would require a land area equal to the State of Connecticut.

Fueling an all-electric vehicle (EV) is not cheaper than using gasoline or diesel! To fuel an EV quickly requires a Level 2 charger installed by a professional, not the Level 1 charger sold with the car. On average, it costs 35% more per 100 miles to buy electricity over gasoline in part because commercial locations charge double to triple the residential rate to dispense electricity. If charging while using Time-of-Use rates the price can be 50% more.

Wouldn’t it be smarter to use simpler, cleaner, and cheaper reliable natural gas and nuclear power?

EVs are much more expensive to buy than a gasoline or diesel-powered vehicle. In addition, how many people when buying them take into consideration the consequences of a foreign power or terrorist attack on the power grid or possibly satellites controlling their vehicle. In China where control is absolute, car owners can end up with a useless vehicle because the government deems them suspect of not supporting the CCP’s ESG directives.

As the number of EVs grows so do the problems of using them. There is a lack of charging stations. Their charging is putting extreme stress on an aging power grid. The expense to repair an EV is much more costly than gasoline or diesel repairs. Their repair requires expensive sophisticated electronic equipment and highly trained technicians. Such facilities are few and far between at this time.

What is an Environmentalist EV Owner to do?

The conundrum for the EV owner is the extraordinarily high water use associated with owning an EV. What are the consequences for areas where water is becoming the biggest issue in supporting a growing population, encouraging economic growth, and providing water for farms?

According to News Nation even firefighters are warning that electric car fires are far more problematic than fires that engulf gas-powered vehicles. Fire departments around the country are simply not ready to deal with EV fires.

A gas-powered car fire typically requires less than 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish. Electric car fires are far more difficult to extinguish. When an electric car catches fire it produces what is called a “thermal runaway” event.

Lithium is the lightest weight solid on earth, atomic element number 3 on the Periodic Table. Totally electric vehicles use lithium-ion batteries. [Hybrid-electric vehicles use nickel cadmium batteries.] Lithium burns at a much higher temperature than gasoline - about 1,380 F vs about 500 F.

A lithium fire produces many hazardous products. Lithium is corrosive to the skin. Breathing it irritates the nose and throat and higher exposure leads to pulmonary edema. When lithium contacts water, it produces caustic lithium hydroxide.

It requires different tactics to put out an EV lithium fire. Even Tesla’s Model S owner’s manual says that it takes 3,000 to 10,000 gallons of water to extinguish a Tesla. If the EV is in a rural area a fire may be uncontrollable and may start wildfires. parable of Jesus concerning the Master who dispensed talents and went away only to return and make each servant give an account of his stewardship. Stick with fossil fuels!!!
